Teaching&Research Work Conference
In order to carry out the spirit of promoting teaching through research and combining them together, at 1 P.M. on 24th February, Anqing Foreign Language School’s Junior High Department of the east campus convened the teaching and research work conference in the new semester. The conference consisted of two sessions.
In the first session, at Class 2, Grade 7, the Junior High Division held the conferences concerning each discipline designated for the teaching and research group leaders as well as the lesson preparation group leaders, which were chaired by Deputy Director Wang Shengxiang.
In the first place, Deputy Director Wang Shengxiang announced the appraisal results of last term’s teaching and research group assessment. Also, he commended the advanced teaching and research group in addition to the teachers who won prizes in excellent demonstration lessons.
In the second place, Deputy Director Wang Shengxiang arranged the teaching and research work in the new semester. He pointed out that we should lay emphasis on discussions, learning conditions, methodology for teaching materials and the implementation of collective lesson preparation program formulated by the Junior High Section. Afterwards, he put forward specific requirements in terms of the Master-Prentice Project, the establishment of open classes and the implementation of students’ activities.
In the third place, Principal Assistant Lu Dan delivered a keynote speech in which he emphasized several issues as follows: one, each discipline group was supposed to discuss teaching progress and make the teaching and research plans. Two, we should pay attention to the effectiveness of teaching and research both in the east and west campuses. Three, we would intensify and strictly put the collective lesson preparation into practice. Meanwhile, we should devote particular care to the ‘four fixed’ policy: fixed place, time, staff and issues. Four, teaches were requested to conduct planning and training in advance on the physical education exam and experimental tests in Senior High School Entrance Examination. Five, teachers were supposed to discuss and make the review plans for the graduating classes in Grade 9.
During the second session, each subject group held the teaching and research conference respectively to convey the conference spirit, discuss the course schedule and draw up the teaching and research plans.
In conclusion, this conference not only let teachers make clear the tasks of teaching and research in the new term, but also enabled them to conscientiously throw themselves into teaching and research to facilitate teaching and get ready for the conventional teaching in the new semester.
